Avant de partir
Depuis l'aéroport
Perth Airport (PER) is about 12km east of the city. The Airport Line train is the fastest and cheapest option, taking 18 minutes to the CBD and costing $5 AUD with a SmartRider card ($6.50 with a cash ticket). Taxis cost $45-55 AUD, and rideshares (Uber) are slightly cheaper. There is no dedicated airport bus.
Se déplacer
The Perth CBD is very compact and highly walkable, with most major attractions, shopping, and dining within a 20-minute stroll. The connection across the railway line to Northbridge is also easy on foot. However, to reach beaches or outer suburbs, you'll need public transport, a bike, or a car.
Conseils sur place
- For the best quokka selfies on Rottnest Island, head to the less crowded areas around Parker Point or the Basin early in the morning. They're most active and curious before the midday heat.
- Buy a SmartRider card for public transport. It gives you a 20% discount on all Transperth fares (buses, trains, ferries) compared to single paper tickets and makes hopping on and off effortless.
- The Fremantle Doctor is your friend. This cooling afternoon sea breeze hits most summer days around 3 pm. Plan your beach time for the morning, then enjoy alfresco dining as the Doctor rolls in.
