Jeśli masz jeszcze jeden dzień: Jinja

2 hours by car or private taxi. To już poza planem na 3 dni: lepiej poświęcić na to cały dzień, niż wciskać w jeden z nich.

Visit the historic town where the Nile River begins its epic journey north. It's East Africa's adventure capital, offering a stark contrast to Kampala's urban energy.

Najważniejsze: Boat trip to the actual Source of the Nile, White-water rafting on the Nile, Bungee jumping with Nile High, Visit to the Bujagali Falls area

Przed wyjazdem

Z lotniska

From Entebbe International Airport (EBB), the most common options are pre-booked private taxis (approx 80,000-100,000 UGX / $20-25 for the 45km trip) or the SafeBoda app for a cheaper motorcycle taxi (approx 30,000 UGX / $8, not ideal with lots of luggage). There is no direct train; shared taxis are cheaper but complex for new arrivals.

Poruszanie się po mieście

The city center on Old Kampala and Nakasero hills is somewhat walkable for short distances, but sidewalks are often broken or non-existent. Crossing roads requires extreme caution due to traffic. Walking between different hills/neighborhoods is not practical due to distance and traffic.

Lokalne wskazówki

  • Always agree on the fare *before* getting on a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi). A short trip within the city center should cost between 3,000-5,000 UGX.
  • For the best 'rolex', skip the fancy spots and head to a busy street vendor at lunchtime or in the evening. Watch them make it fresh.
  • Carry small denominations of Ugandan Shillings (UGX). Large bills (like 50,000 UGX notes) are often hard to break for small purchases and boda rides.
