With 7 days in Shanghai, you'll have time to experience the city's highlights. Between these two worlds lie neighbourhoods full of character: the plane-tree-lined streets of the former French Concession with their villas and cafés, shikumen lane houses in Tianzifang and Xintiandi, and the classical Yu Garden in the old city. Shanghai is also a food capital, famous for xiaolongbao soup dumplings, shengjian bao, braised pork and hairy crab in autumn.
