Denver International Airport (DEN) is about 25 miles northeast of downtown. The A Line commuter train ($10.50) takes 37 minutes to Union Station. Ride-shares (Uber/Lyft) cost $35-55. Shuttles like SuperShuttle start around $30. Taxis have a flat rate of $81 to downtown.
Cómo moverse
Downtown (especially LoDo) is very walkable, with attractions, hotels, and restaurants close together. Other neighborhoods like RiNo and Highland are walkable within themselves but require a bus, bike, or ride-share to connect.
Consejos de la zona
- Drink plenty of water. The high altitude and dry climate can cause dehydration and altitude sickness. Avoid heavy alcohol consumption on your first day.
- Always carry layers. Denver's weather can change rapidly, especially in the mountains. A sunny 75°F (24°C) afternoon can turn into a chilly evening.
- Use the free 16th Street MallRide bus to navigate downtown. It runs frequently along the pedestrian mall from Union Station to Civic Center Station.
